ACCESSIBILITY
Ramp: The ramp is a bit steep, so it may or may not be traversable depending on your level of mobility/devices. Some may be able to use it alone, some may require assistance, and others may not be able to ascend it.
Elevators: The elevator on the right, which is down a few stairs, can take you to the 2nd floor. It will look like you’re in the wrong place (like you got transported to the backrooms), but follow the hallway down to the right around the corner and exit into the mall.
For those who cannot go down the few stairs to that elevator, please use the left elevator to go to the 3rd floor, transfer to the right elevator, and make your way down to the 2nd floor. However, this left elevator does not appear to be working at time of writing. We will update this as soon as that changes.
Unfortunately The Garage is an older building that does not meet today’s expectations for accessibility. While this is outside of our control, inclusivity is deeply important to us and we are more than happy to accommodate you in any way we can.
For example, we are happy to set up a time within store hours to meet you on the first floor, or possibly curbside. We can send an in-depth video tour of the store that day and bring products you are interested in looking at to you for your perusal! To arrange this, please contact us via Instagram, e-mail, text, or call.
If you have any other ideas for ways we can help, please let us know.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
Parking: There is metered street parking as well as some local parking garages. On Sunday, parking is free!
As a note, despite it's name, there is no parking garage located in The Garage.
Public Transit: Make your way to the Red Line and hop out at Harvard! Several buses also stop here. Please check the MBTA website for more information.
WHO ARE YOU?
We’re Jennie and Sara, local artists and besties! You may have spotted us vending at craft fairs, Pride festivals, anime conventions and more - around New England and beyond - over the past 10 years.
WHAT IS TRINKET PLANET?
TP is an artist collective and creative space stocked with adorable, whimsical products to brighten your day! We offer unique, small-batch goodies and gifts designed by local artists while building community through out-of-this-world workshops and meet-ups.
WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON AT THE GARAGE?
The first floor hosts a food court including the newly opened Kyoyo House (mochi ice cream), Memory Shop, and access to Anime Zakka. The 2nd floor of The Garage features more small businesses (including us), as well as Mayfly (upcycled + handmade clothing), Cinesweets Bakery, and Tuck’s Truffles, along with the iconic Newbury Comics. There will also be a hair salon and barcade, Tuck’s Arcadium, coming in 2026.
I WANT TO SELL MY ART WITH YOU! I WANT TO HOST A WORKSHOP/MEET UP/ETC!
We love the enthusiasm! Right now, we’re focusing on settling in, but we will open applications for guest artist consignment and small events in early 2026. Keep an eye on our socials, or sign up for e-mails. Can I shop online? At the moment, we do not have plans for a collective online shop. Please check out the individual online shops of Cambrasine, Sara Capello, and our current guest artists:
Chu Charms • Avian Aves • Catfish Cult
WASN’T THE GARAGE GOING TO BE DEMOLISHED?
Yep! But lucky for us, that plan was scrapped. Instead, it is being revitalized with local small businesses like ours!
